Animac will participate in the 1st edition of Binefar’s Puppet and Moving Image Festival

The festival hosts Animac Camina, the traveling version of shorts presented in 2013’s Exhibition. The pieces that will be able to watch in the context of Imaginara, are part of the program Reality 2.0. Imaginaria will take place from 3rd to 9th June in Binefar and Animac’s session will take place on 4th Tuesday.

Reality 2.0 is about the exploration of reality from animation. It includes the screening of Fresh Guacamole, one of the nominated shorts to the Oscar and the winner of Animac’s Audience Award. The short entitled Feral by Daniel Sousa, which explains the story of a wild boy, as well as The People Who Never Stop and Lipsset Diaries, by Theodore Ushev, will also be screened. This programming is a summary of Animac’s 2013 edition and will also include Les Mots de Carpe, which is about the world and love relationships.

The participation of Animac in Imaginaria –Binefar’s Puppet and Moving Image Festival- is included in the project Animac Camina and enables to spread a selection of the best animated short films nationally and internationally, which will be screened in cultural centers, exhibitions and festivals.

The mayor’s deputy and Cultural Policy’s councilor, Montse Parra, has presided the presentation of Imaginaria in Lleida, to be held from 3rd to 9th June in Binefar. It has been created with the goal of becoming an interdisciplinary meeting point for artists. Parra has wished good luck to the organizers of this first edition of the Festival and said that networks of collaborations in culture should be knitted.

The puppeteers from Binefar are responsible of the Artistic Direction of the Fair, which this first year will offer more than 25 activities and 12 theatre companies will perform.
